- JET Programme
- I came to Japan this time thanks to the JET Program. Not
a bad way to live in Japan, as long as you don't mind teaching English.
- Mainichi Shinbun - ś{ź / English
- Not the best online
newspaper for Japan, but it's bilingual and there's always the Wai-Wai to cheer you up.
- Japan Times
- Another English language Japanese newspaper.
- Kochi City / Prefecture
- Homepages for the city and prefecture I currently live in. Both have English versions.
- Umaji-mura
- Homepage of the village I lived in from 2001 to 2003.
It's only in Japanese, but you can order yuzu products there. Mmm...
yuzu...
- ALC - Eijirō
- One of the best English-Japanese/ap
dictionaries on the web. This site won't look up words in hiragana if the kanji is more common, but it will often
come up with examples of use in addition to definitions. Eijirō has saved my butt a number of
times.
- Jeffrey's JapaneseĢEnglish Dictionary Server
- A very good JE/EJ online dictionary.
- Jim Breen's WWWJDIC
- Check out his main page too.
- Rikai.com
- Plug in a block of text or a url and Rikai will open a new window with mouse-over definitions and pronunciations. Handy for reading news websites.
- Babel Fish
- Gotta love Babel Fish. (On-line translator)
- Xanga
- An online blogging community. It seems to be mostly a
hangout for teens, but there are some good blogs on Xanga. Mine
for example.
- Sushicam
- A good Japan blog with incredible pictures.
- JET Tanuki
- And yet another good Japan blog.
- Larry Piper's Various Vanity Ventures
- My father's foray into the word of web design.
- H. Piper's Home Page
- My mother's page on the Middlesex Community College site.
- irfp.net
- My sister's site. Features news about her art and performances.
- Justin Piper
- My brother's site focusing on his music. Listen to some mp3's and buy a CD or two.
- AWB Design
- Check out AWB for all your web design needs.
- The Great Below
- Celebrity Death Pool
- SITO Artchive: Jason Hsu
- Pictures from Jason Hsu's sketchbook.
