Description:
It is rumored that some Japanese will carry umeboshi with them when they travel abroad incase they begin to feel homesick. Their love for this pickled plum is evident in the popular lunch pictured above - the hi no maru bento (“ú‚ÌŠÛ•Ù“–). A field of white rice with a deep red umeboshi right in the middle. Looks familiar, doesn't it? |
