Description:

Onigiri is always a good and portable snack. Traditionally you would add a piece of fish or an umboshi to the middle of your onigiri, but nowadays there is a much wider range of foods being inserted into onigiri (mayonnaise and tuna, beef, corn, etc.). The Japanese have even found a way to keep the rice and the nori separate in the package so that the nori stays crisp even after sitting in a konbini all day long.
